This Privacy Policy explains how SolarBrain ("SolarBrain", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the SolarBrain website, dashboard, integrations, automations, support channels, and related services (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account information
- Email address.
- Phone number, if provided.
- Password credentials in hashed form.
- Account status, trial dates, subscription state, onboarding progress, and settings.
Integration and device information
- Third-party integration identifiers, access tokens, refresh tokens, regions, device serial numbers, and similar connection data.
- Mapped device names, device identifiers, source roles, smart-switch roles, and configuration settings.
- Inverter, battery, utility-grid, generator, and smart-switch telemetry or status made available through connected services.
Automation and energy information
- Automation rules, schedules, thresholds, profiles, and enabled/disabled states.
- Battery state of charge, charging settings, source availability, smart-switch state, and related operational status.
- Tariff settings, energy estimates, cost calculations, and usage summaries you configure or generate through the Service.
Support and technical information
If you contact us through WhatsApp, email, a feature-request form, or another support channel, we may receive the information you choose to provide. We may also collect limited technical data such as IP address, authentication/security events, error logs, and browser information needed to operate and protect the Service.
2. How We Use Information
- Create and secure your account.
- Maintain integrations you authorize.
- Display power-system information.
- Run user-configured automations and smart-switch actions.
- Calculate energy and cost information.
- Provide onboarding, support, troubleshooting, and product improvements.
- Protect the Service and investigate abuse or failures.
- Manage trials, subscriptions, and payments when paid billing is enabled.
3. Third-Party Services
SolarBrain may connect to inverter-cloud providers, smart-switch platforms such as eWeLink, messaging services such as Telegram or WhatsApp, hosting providers, and future payment providers. Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
4. Payments
When paid billing is enabled, payment information may be processed by a third-party provider. SolarBrain intends to receive transaction status, amount, currency, references, and information needed to manage your subscription. We do not intend to store full payment-card numbers or card security codes on SolarBrain servers.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
SolarBrain may use essential cookies, session identifiers, or browser storage required for authentication, security, preferences, and normal application operation. If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are introduced, appropriate notice and choices will be provided where required.
6. Sharing
We may share information only where reasonably necessary with infrastructure/service providers, integrations you authorize, payment providers, professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or a successor entity in a lawful business transaction.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account continuity, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service. Disconnecting an integration may stop live access while certain mappings remain saved to make reconnection easier.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect SolarBrain accounts and connected-service information. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your SolarBrain credentials and connected third-party accounts.
9. International Processing
SolarBrain may use infrastructure or providers located in countries different from your own. Where required, reasonable steps will be taken to support lawful cross-border processing.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. You can also disconnect supported integrations and request account closure.
11. Children
SolarBrain is not designed as a service for children. A person creating or purchasing an account must have the legal capacity to enter into the applicable agreement or valid authorization where permitted by law.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as SolarBrain evolves. The updated policy will be posted with a revised effective date and additional notice where legally required.
